Seedling Growth from Stem Cutting with Different Physiological Ages of Jatropha curcas L. of West Nusa Tenggara Genotypes
Bambang Budi Santoso, I GM. Arya Parwata

Abstract
The use of accurate cutting age in vegetative propagation is imperative in order to improve seeding quality of some Jatropha genotypes. The objective of the research is to investigate the effect of cutting age from some jatropha genotypes on seedling growth and development. Cuttings from primary, secondary and tertiary branchs were grown and observed during seedling period and in the production field. The result showed that secondary branch as a semi-hard wood cuttings could be the most effective propagation material of Jatropha curcas, and followed by tertiary branch. All Jatropha genotypes of West Nusa Tenggara could be propagated using three types of stem cutting.
